What is this MealMobs that you speak of?
MealMobs is a vision, a love affair with a concept, a passion play. It is the collective vision of three restaurant enthusiasts who also happen to have the entreprenurial bug and some digital know-how.
In early 2010, these three friends got together for a meal and came out with a mission. That mission: help people like themselves connnect with the restaurants they love and get rewarded by those restaurants for their patronage.
It started like this. At some point during dinner, the guys began commiserating about how much they spend at restaurants over the course of a year. The conversation evolved into a cocktail napkin calculation of how much of money flowed to each of their favorite restaurants. And in return, these fellas were getting... nothing.
OK - not 100% true. They were getting good food. Otherwise, they wouldn't be regulars. But, there was no reward for their loyalty. No nod to these dedicated customers, letting them know that they were valued more than the average Joe off the street.
And so, MealMobs was born. MealMobs is a digital platform that encourages restaurants to connect with new customers and to reward their best customers. Quite simply, restaurant patrons post their dining purchases to MealMobs, earning credit towards great deals and loyalty programs at the restaurants they love. But that's not all. Restaurants you are not currently in a relationship with will post offers on MealMobs with the sole intention of tempting you to try them. That way, maybe you will also become their regular customer.
